FACTS ABOUT SECTO DESIGN LAMPS

GENERAL

• The collection is designed by architect Seppo Koho.
• Secto Design lamp shades are handmade entirely in Finland of PEFC-certified Finnish birch by highly skilled craftsmen.
• The shades are made of laminated birch slats connected by rings of aircraft plywood.
• Secto Design lamp shades are available in the following standard alternatives:
  - natural birch
  - white laminated birch
  - black laminated birch
  - walnut veneer
• Other colours can be provided for projects, at extra cost.
• The cables used in Secto Design lamps are tested especially for this purpose. Secto Design accepts no responsibility if other cables are used.
• Tube-shaped energy-saving bulbs suit the Secto Design shades best, and give about five times more light than incandescent bulbs. Ordinary energy-saving bulbs do not suit the dimmers, but many manufacturers make energy-saving bulbs that can be used with dimmers. It is important to make sure that there is always at least 15 mm between the bulb and the shade, to allow air to circulate around the bulb. The recommendation is to use bulbs that give off a "warm white" light (827, 2700 K).

• It is not safe to use any special bulbs (e.g. mirror, halogen or 12 V bulbs) in Secto Design shades.
• The International Protection Rating of Secto Design lamps is IP20.
• Secto Design lamps have been tested in Finland by SGS Fimko and found to comply with the safety testing requirements for CE-marking (EN 60598-2-1:1989, EN 60598-1:2000 + A11:2000 + A12:2002, Clause 13.3 of EN 60598-1:2008 + A11:2009).

PENDANT LAMPS
Secto 4200, Secto 4201, Puncto 4203, Octo 4240, Victo 4250

• Dimensions of the pendants:
  - Secto 4200: h. 60 cm, Ø 30 cm
  - Secto 4201: h. 45 cm, Ø 25 cm
  - Puncto 4203: h. 40 cm, Ø 45 cm
  - Octo 4240: h. 68 cm, Ø 54 cm

• Bulb recommendation (EU): energy-saving 20-30 W tube-shaped bulbs, base E27 (max. 60 W).
• The cable used for pendant lamps is heat-resistant.
• Pendant lamps have a ceiling plug.
• The cable length is 150 cm.
• Shorter and longer cables are available for pendants, at extra cost.
• Black pendants have a black cable and a black ceiling cup. Birch, white and walnut pendants have a white cable and a white ceiling cup.

 

PENDANT LAMP Secto 4202 Magnum

• Dimensions of the Secto 4202 Magnum pendant: h. 87 cm, Ø 56 cm
• Bulb recommendation (EU): energy-saving 30-60 W tube-shaped bulbs, base E27 (max. 60 W).
• The cable used is heat-resistant.
• The cable has a ceiling plug.
• The length of the cable and steel wires is 200 cm.
• Shorter and longer cables and steel wires for the Magnum pendant are available, if necessary.
• Black pendants have a black cable and a black ceiling cup. Birch, white and walnut pendants have a white cable and a white ceiling cup.

 

PENDANT LAMP Atto 5000

• Dimensions of the Atto 5000 pendant: h. 21 cm, Ø 34 cm
• Bulb (EU): 4-Pin 2D Butterfly Compact Fluorescent 16 W, tone 827. The bulb is included with the lamp.
• NB: Atto cannot be dimmed.
• To change the bulb:
  1. Release the metal spring.
  2. Remove the plexiglass.
  3. Pull out the bulb.
  4. Insert the new bulb.
• The bulb may loosen during transport. If the light does not turn on, push the bulb into place.
• The cable has a ceiling plug.
• The cable length is 180 cm.
• Shorter and longer cables for the Atto pendant are available, at extra cost.
• Black pendants have a black cable and a black ceiling cup. Birch, white and walnut pendants have a white cable and a white ceiling cup.

 

PENDANT LAMP Kontro 6000

• Dimensions of the Kontro 6000 pendant: h. 21 cm, Ø 45 cm
• Bulb: The pendant will be delivered with a 20 W Globe energy saving bulb, 1000 lumen,2700K
• The socket: E27(max 60 W)
• NOTE The bulb that comes with the pendant is not dimmable
• The cable used for pendant lamps is heat-resistant.
• Pendant lamps have a ceiling plug.
• The cable length is 150 cm.

WALL LAMPS Secto 4230, Secto 4231

• Dimensions of the wall lamps:
  - Secto 4230: h. 60 cm, d. 18 cm, Ø 30 cm
  - Secto 4231: h. 45 cm, d. 15 cm, Ø 25 cm
• Bulb recommendation (EU): energy-saving 10-20 W tube-shaped bulbs, base E14 (max. 40 W).
• Wall lamps are supplied with a cable and a switch or they can be mounted directly on the wall.
• The cable length is 240 cm.
• Wall lamps have a white cable.
• Wall lamps weight about 1 kg and can be mounted on the wall from the middle hole, e.g. using picture hooks.

 

FLOOR LAMP Secto 4210

• Dimensions of the Secto 4210 floorlamp: h. 175-185 cm, Ø 30 cm
• Bulb recommendation (EU): energy-saving 20-30 W tube-shaped bulbs, base E27 (max. 60 W).
• The switch is on the cable.
• The cable length is 250 cm.
• Floor lamps have a black cable.
• The frame of the floor lamp is made of powder painted steel, tone RAL 9006.
• Assembling the floor lamp:
  1. Insert the bottom end of the upper tube into the lower steel tube.
  2. Pull down the cord to tighten. Tighten the black screw in the tube.
• Joining the shade to the floor lamp:
  1. First open the top screw on the bulb holder. Remove the round plate at the top.
  2. Place the shade on the frame so that the small hook on the upper tube goes into the small hole in the lower ring of the shade and the fixed round disc on the top of the frame is tightly fitted into the hole in the middle of the top of the shade. Screw the round plate back onto the top of the lamp.

 

TABLE LAMP Secto 4220

• Dimensions of the Secto 4220 floorlamp: h. 75 cm, Ø 25 cm
• Bulb recommendation (EU): energy-saving 20-30 W tube-shaped bulbs, base E27 (max. 60 W).
• The switch is on the cable.
• The cable length is 200 cm.
• Table lamps have a black cable.
• The frame of the table lamp is made of powderpainted steel, tone RAL 9006.
• Joining the shade to the table lamp:
  1. First open the top screw on the bulb holder. Remove the round plate at the top.
  2. Place the shade on the frame so that the small hook on the upper tube goes into the small hole in the lower ring of the shade and the fixed round disc on the top of the frame is tightly fitted into the hole in the middle of the top of the shade.
